One thing you might want to consider for tuning your carbs is a Colortune. I've seen lots of pros and cons about using them but I like it. It really lets you see what is happening in the combustion

If you setup the carbs and ignition as per the factory instructions every thing will work properly provided you are setting up a standard car. If you are setting up a modified car you will need a mod
