You don't say what year your car is, but on some models, if the points are not installed correctly with the nyloninsulating washer, they ground out, ergo no spark. Maynard

I'm using Dizzy 41491 (1974) and the wiring system is as follows, orange wire from condenser is against the points, on top of that is the white wire from Terminal , on top of that is the nylon insula

Is there another nylon insulating washer at the bottom, nearest the plate, that the points spring is sitting on? James

Hi Bernie, I think that could be your problem. You have to ensure that the loop in the end of the points spring only makes contact with the wire to the Terminal and the orange wire to the condenser.
