I don't want to seem to be sarcastic here, but could it just be that your engine is hot? I have seen similar temperatures (and I think there is a picture of something similar on Barney's website). H

Your problem is that you have a 'guage', whereas your MGA should be fitted with a 'gauge' ;o) Normally these read low when they start to fail, but I have seen my V8 gauge read well into the oil press
