Some of you may remember that I brought up an MGA I saw about a month back. Well it's now listed in the local paper for $3500. I just got off the phone with the guy, and here's the scoop. '58 MGA cco

I don't think this tactic will work in this case. The guy knows what he's got, and won't settle for less than $3500. The reason he put it on the market, is because, people kept knocking on his door,

The MGAs are simple cars. The early ones had 1500 cc engines that gradually gave way to the 1600 cc engines. They did have a rare engine available in the last of the run - the 1600 twin cam. I've kn

I don't have personal experience with them, but $3500 it sounds like a bargain. Main item to check: they have a wood frame. Can get pricey if rotten. Restored, it should bring well over $10k. David R

I don't think the frame's wood, just the floors. A friend of mine had a rust-free vintage race version that still had virgin black plates. It was completely straight but did need a complete restorati

Point of clarification. MGA's do not have a wooden frame, rather a substantial steel frame that could be dropped off a ten story building w/o damage. Ok, ok, I exaggerate a bit. Dave MGA 1500
