My MGA runs fine but for future tuning, I was wondering if anyone has the dwell spec for the MGA? I've looked in my manuals but have not located this spec. Scott Helms 1957 100-6 BN4L - 0 - 49881 19

Hello Scott: Just tuned the 1600 and 1800. According to my manuals, the dwell angle should be set at 60 degrees plus or minus 3 degrees. This applies to all "B" series units as used by MGAs and MGBs

Hi Scott Helms!! You'll have to set the points dead-nuts accurate, then measure your dwell, and write it down in your manual. My '72 manual calls out 60 degrees +/- 3 degrees for the 18G/GA/GB engine

For my 1500 the dwell is set at 60 degrees, the timing is 7 degreed B.T.D.C. Hope this helps. Mike Lambdin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
