I have a beautifully rebuilt engine that is running great, yet the thing sat for years after rebuild and has some leaks. It is leaking around the main front felt seal of the timing cover at the crank

Hmmmm ... the early 'B' covers should have four timing marks on the bottom right hand side like the 'A' ... at some point (senior moment - can't recall when and don't have the energy to research) ...
