Hmm, a split bumber was only used on '70 cars. If it is a split '71 then that is a change, stands to reason that someone installed the O/D later too..

Actually check your door plate on this one. My GT is listed on the title as a 71 but has a production date stamped of 10/70. The 70 models are already prewired for the OD. Look at the wire harness on

Don's GT might have been on stock for some months before being sold to the first owner perhaps. Mine is an early '71 BGT non-splitted version. (71-2) Just finished restoration - picture is available
