Okay with all this talk about engine numbers I have got to ask about mine: 18V658M-L17025. The engine is in a 1973 GT build date: 02-73. What I can't figure out is what does 658M stand for. Any help

Clausager has a comprehensive listing of engine numbers over the years and your prefix doesn't figure, they jump from 585-Z-L to 672-Z-L (Aug 71 - Aug 72, Aug 72 - Sep 74, Z meaning two carbs and emi
