Tell your brother the probelem isn't vacuum, except that it sucks. You've got a problem with either the ignition or fuel system. Two things come to mind as prime candidates: 1) faulty fuel pump. Next

Sounds like the fuel pump to me. I just fixed mine as it was having = similar symptoms. Check the connections and clean them before you rip = it out of there. Sometimes, it's just a poor ground conne

Check the fuel filter. Next time it happens open the trunk and give the fuel pump a rap (with the ignition on). If it starts ticking away, you need to either rebuild , adjust or replace your fuel pum
