The grill badge fell off my '69 B and was lost. It looks like it was held on the mount by double-stick foam tape. I have a new badge now and am wondering what the preferred method of attaching it is.

I had the same problem with the Jaguar emblem that is fastened to the hub cap on an alloy Jaguar wheel. A friend suggested clear silicone, it works great.

I used clear silicone also. As an added bonus, you can use it to fill cracks if the badge ever gets chipped by a stone. I took my old badge off the car, fixed the chips, then used silicon to bond it

I wouldn't use silicone rubber. The stuff you get at the hardware stores acetic acid as it cures. If you KNOW that the paint on your car will not be affected, go ahead. Maybe it won't cause premature
