Larry, Its a Comptune head. Comptune was the name used by Dave Tabor in Ohio who made his reputation doing national level race heads for spridgets. Tabor is dead but I believe his son is in business

Actually, I think Comptune do hot road heads as well. A quick check of the Winner's Circle web site will verify it (or not). Unfortunately there is *no* way to verify that the head is anything in par

Interesting. I've always been told that the head gasket is the only one that goes on dry. Clean, true faces and a clean, dry gasket. I've done this with 2 head gaskets on my Midget with no problems.
