Why do you have to join the two halves of the intake back together? I know it is supposed to "balance" the carbs, but if you run a two choke weber, are the two sides tied together? Don't most of us s

I don't know that you have to rejoin them, you could cut off the balance pipe completely and find a way to close off the resulting big hole in the side of each of your two new intakes. It would seem
