I am (literally) in the process of inspecting/replacing the main bearings in my 1970 MGB while the engine sits in the car. I am having difficulty removing the front and rear main bearing caps. Is it

Yes. Also yes. For the front one you have to remove the two bottom bolts in the timing cover, as they are screwed into the bearing cap. Otherwise just yank the caps out with a slid hammer. You have t
