I have (yet another) question about the possible retrofitting of an early metal dashboard to a later MGB: I know that just fitting an early dash is a lot of work. I also know that home-market MGBs ke

Canadian '68's had a metal dash as did the European LHD drives into the early 70's. I am in the process of making the same conversion on my 68-74 BMH MGB Body Shell. Just yesterday I cut up a rusty 6

Thanks for the reply, and definitely keep my posted on how it goes for you. One further question: If I can find a metal dash from a 1971 German-market MGB for example, will I still have to change al

Hi Paul, Well, I have never seen a European MKII (post 67) so I can't say for sure, but I seriously doubt it. The metal cowl that carries the pillow dash is much more concave than the MKI dash board

Converting to a steel dashboard, just as converting from RHD to LHD is not a typical home mechanic project. I doubt if there is any way of putting together a conversion package which would be econom

The '68 Canadian MKII cars came with a metal dash. The European MKII came with a metal dash until about 74 maybe? Not sure -- the early 70's anyway. So it's not so clear to me how it is a bastardizat
