- I have a 73 MGB and the last time I replace U-joint they have a plug or a long fitting in the box. I previously had the same problem you described. I decided to install it without the fitting. As in

- I don't know. I've had both sealed and greasable u-joints on my '67 B (the driveshafts only differ in length) and the sealed ones lasted just as long because I never remember to grease the u-joints
