As others have said, I would check the electrical connections at the coil, fuse box, relays, and other items that are in those areas. Just went through that. Cleaning bad connections and new wires to

It is a 78 MGB with a Zenith carb. New plugs, plug wires, new battery, lots of electrical faults. That is what is acts like, a short in the system somewhere, except for the rough idle. May have found

I checked the air filter and it was plugged up most likely 10 years old like the battery. Had to order one and tried to drive the car a little piece without it and it idles great, but started to back
