I replaced the diaphragms on my '74B' with the early style. Yes, they were taut, but that's what I wanted. The old criss-crossing straps just weren't doing the job. Upon replacing them, I found that

You know, that is exactly what I wanted at the time. I know that experimental aircraft builders use this technique to shape the foam cores they use on their planes, but I didn't look for one assuming
