I used to cringe whenever I saw a small block Chevy in a Jag. I felt if you can't handle the engine quirks of the Jag, you don't deserve one. That translated to 'the only proper conversion for an MG

I have "been there and done that". My advice is to make sure you ask questions, do the least amount of damage to the car, and make sure every custom part you use is well fabricated and works correct

The GM T-5s ( I don't know about Fords) generally have a .75 or .63 fifth gear. With the .75 changing out the rear gear is your choice and really comes down to what you want to do with the car, with
