R134 systems that are retrofited do not, in my experience, get new hoses UNLESS the old ones are leaking. Why you ask? Simple the ester oil when mixed with the mineral oil of the R-12 system provide

You will note that I said ester oil not PAG oil. When R-134 first came on the scene the only oil available was PAG which as I recall comes in three different flavors. Each compressor maker would the
