Hmmm, not an MGB engine then, and not a Gold Seal either - the valve cover could have come off one though, although the 'mix and match' means the head could not be right for the rest of the engine. -

Thanks for the info and the website reference. However, the engine that this head is on doesn't quite match up with the references. The engine number I have is 18V659M which I'm guessing is probably

Interesting... My B engine was allegedly a "Gold Seal" engine, and its motor number is not in the Clausager motor number chart, either. Haven't looked at the head number. Mine is built as a non-smog
