I use spray on copper gasket sealant applied to both sides of the manifold gasket and to the surfaces mating. Once the engine heats up the first time most of it kind of catalyzes and all the little c

You're right, I wasn't thinking of the spray-on type, which is often used on head gaskets. I was thinking of the copper silicone sealer in a tube, which I am sure would be a mess. Ptegler had this to
