I want/need to fill my rack with grease, but I can't find the grease fitting. The manual clearly shows me where to find it, but there's no fitting there. Is this typical? I guess I have to install a

My 65 B does not have a fitting. It came new that way. As already suggested, I just squirt through the loosened gaiter.

MGB rack does not take greese! It takes 90w hypoid gear oil which you put in by screwing off the cap on top of the rack. Do not pump greese into the rack. Check with your workshop manuel. Jerome Ros

My steering rack has no grease/oil nipple. I read somewhere that later left hand drive cars don't have them, probably to keep American mechanics from squirting grease where the manual says to squirt

Apparently opinions vary. When I posted questions about this a number of responders said they did use grease rather than oil in their racks with no ill effects. I suspect the worst that could happen

Hence the confusion. The Haynes manual shows a Zerk fitting and says to put grease in there. Since I don't have the fitting, guess I'm suppose to put gear oil in there. But does it then flow down in
