C'mon folks, the reason BMW decided that the MGF wouldn't be imported to the US isn't emissions and safety (it's already compliant with European standards that are the same as US Federal standards),

This matter was discussed in the June/July issue of MG World. Some listers may not have access to this magazine, so I'll put an end to this rumor before it gets too far out of hand: The following are

I don't agree with this one, a BMW in the states is the car for those with $. They wouldn't want an MG because it doesn't say BMW on it. On complaint I have heard about the $40k 'vette is that it is

First of all I believe that what you meant to say was the Z3. The M3 is a sport sedan, not a roadster and would not be a proper comparison. Secondly, .....What? What does BMW care which car in their

Saw a bright red some-kind-of BMW, day before yesterday, here in Tulsa. Looked like a Z3 but with a semi-stationwagon fastback body. I found it to be very ugly. I rather like the bodystyle of the Z3,

Not sure what they call it but it is their version of a BGT. I sat in one at the BMW show a few weeks ago. I was impressed - I thought it looked cool. IMHO Larry At this exact moment in time 9/10/99

C'mon folks again. The only reason that the MGF was not imported to America is that in the long term it was not deemed advantageous to the companies goals. The reasoning is highly fluid and no doubt

I believe this time the start of the thread had nothing to do with the 'F' specifically. Neither did many of the posts. I know that I for one was saying that BMW would be silly not to import an MG in
