If you are going to use the main caps from block A on block B, you will need to have the block and caps align bored or align honed. This will ensure that the caps and block are concentric, and true.

What happened to the original main bearing caps on the rebored block? I'll be interested to hear if the caps off of your other block will be a close enough fit to use. Anybody else ever swap MB caps

Just got off the phone with the machinist and he had the same concern about the bearing caps. Wonder how likely it is the original owner has the original caps. Anyone know M. Marousky's email address

If push comes to shove you can always have your old block punched out to match the oversized pistons. Then at least you'll know what you have. CR
