I was at a britcars wrecker yard on Saturday and the guy there insisted that the Austin/Morris Marina had an OHC engine (and thus didn't share the same block/crank/head as a A-series spridget engine)

In the first series of Marina's, there were to engine displacements available. 1800 (1798 MGB), and 1300 (1275 Midget). The 1800 was available with either 1 or 2 carbs. I can't help you with later v

I think the Morris Marina used the "B" series engine in 1800cc form, just as fitted to later MGBs, with the exception of a single SU HIF-6 carburetor and a camshaft-driven fuel pump (rather than elec

Hi Neil, thanks for the info. I have subsequently discovered that Australia only received the 1800 Marina engine, while the UK, NZ definately received both engines. Not sure abouyt the US or Canada.
