Regarding Masonite (TM) I can almost promise that it will break...Masonite is made in sort of random layers or 'leaves' if you will. The shiny side is called the 'tempered' side. Masonite is brittle

Having a couple scraps of 1/8" Masonite (TM) left over from covering my workbench, I did an experiment to see if I could bend it without it breaking. After scoring a few times with a boxcutter knife,
