Adrian, Take a washer, with a hole big enough to go around the piston link, use your hacksaw and cut a slot out of the washer, compress the spring/cup arrangement and use your slotted washer to hold

I use a 4d finishing nail to drive out the roll pin. (I also happen to have a 50lb box of them in the garage and they are convienent) As the book says, a suitable drift would be more in order but tha
