Rear brakes sticking sounds like it might be a rear cylinder leak, with fluid on the shoes. Messy job, but not technically difficult. I can't quite figure your transmission situation, either. There i

OK, I'll check and see if I have fluid on the shoes. I need to purge the brake fluid anyway so that won't be a big deal. I'm glad I am not the only one perplexed. The cover on top of the tunnel is ri

Patton, I did 5 moves in 11 years from 1985 - 1996, and in 2 of them, my '76 B was not running, the result of an accident... My company's policy is the same, but a little cash to the movers convinced

I just recalled that somewhere on one or the other of the trannies there are some spring-loaded bolts, which apparently control the tension on the shifter. They had largish heads and little coil spri

Actually, it sounds pretty close to being right, for a 4-syncro. The three bolts (if I'm remembering clearly) are stepped, and do not clamp the shifter retaining plate in place. They hold springs in

Do you think there is a way to use the later hold down with that shifter. I really like the positioning of the shifter in the car as it is. As it is set up now, the car shifts smoothly without vague
