- AFAIK the spinner is nothing to do with AOL but a 'feature' of Explorer. I seem to recall this as a continuous thing with earlier versions, but with my current V6 a globe rotates while Explorer is lo

- An interesting question. I had the same problem with AT&T. They had their own cheesy spinning icon. I think I finally got rid of it by reinstalling Windows, which is actually good to do every year or
