I'm trying to diagnose a noise in my Midget 1500 gearbox. Atleast I think it's in the gearbox. When driving, I get a vibration at around 38mph that sounds really deep. The sound occurs in either 3rd

It would take a LOT of rust on the surface of the driveshaft to cause a bad vibration. However, a U joint might be corroded or destroyed or seized, which would make a hell of a racket. You can examin

I agree with Trevor about it taking a lot of rust on the drive shaft to cause vibration, but if those universals were dry (no grease) which is what I am suspecting. Especially since you say you have
