- Several years ago I changed over to a Mallory dual point distributor but I am now interested in going to electronic ignition. What are the recommendations? Best manufacturer/source? Potential pitfall

- Ben my 1500 runs really well with the Crane 700 system. Crane also sells a 3000 or something, it's much more powerful but from what I've heard the extra power isn't necessary unless you're pretty ext

- Cap'n Bob, Remedial reading 101 here! NOT the stock unit. However, Pertronix does make a unit for use with the Mallory. Thus you get the benefit of the good bushings of the Mallory with the absence
