- The brake light switch in a '79 is in the front of the pedal box. Perhaps you are referring to something else in the brake system? Gerard 79 Mutant Midget

- thanks for the replies, I bought a new switch (to work the back brake lights) and wasnt sure how it was to be installed. The DPO had jury rigged what looked like a trunk light switch on the brake ped

- You'll find a threaded hole at the front of the pedal box (under the bonnet) directly in front of the top of the brake pedal. Remove the cover plate at he front of the pedal box to see where it makes
