One thing to check is wear on the mechanical components, including the slave pushrod, fork arm, and MC pushrod, and their associated pins. You'd be surprised how much wear can stack up, affecting the

My experience is with MGA's & MGB so I'm not sure how this applies to the Midgets but I'll surmise it is similar. First, it is typically impossible to bleed all the air by pumping the clutch pedal. I
