- Sorry, but you did order the wrong part number. The rack and pinion changed around about 1972 at the GAN5-114486 chassis number. Your 1971 Midget would use the earlier 263-288 tie rod end pair which

- Either Moss or Kelvin (usually on this list) could best answer this question. But it looks like 668-040 is merely a set of two 668-047 tie rod ends. They appear to be for 1973 and newer Midgets. The
