Larry, the suffix 'G' was added from 1967, to indicate that the car was built in Abingdon (versus???)..... Interesting to note that Clausager writes: "The suffix letter G is a cause of many problems

The first time I titled my V8 in Ohio, they didn't even see the G. On most of the VIN tags I have seen it is off near the black area of the tag and the lady didn't see it. Luckily I caught it on the

Thanks for the answer. That should keep the inspector happy. I have a copy of Clausager's 'Original MGB', but it never occurred to me to look in there for the Midget (live and learn). I would guess
