Graeme, since it sounds like you will not be using the car for much road work, I would recommed the 648/649 cam. It will pull strongly from below 4000 to over 8000 should you choose to run that high.

According to the David Vizard book, and an engine I've got with a 731 in it, I would avoid the 731 at all costs. It only works on a small engine, say 850 or 998, anything larger and you lose much mor
