Yup. On my MGA I put the wing mirrors 15 inches ahead of the windshield posts, and use convex mirrors for a larger field of view, not flat glass. In that location you can see them at a glance without

Never had a problem with door mirrors either side. I don't have mine adjusted so you can use them to see behind you as many seem to do, but so as to cover the blind-spot between the rearview mirror a
