For the purpose of rebuilding my 6's clutch master and slave cylinders, I'm considering Victoria British rebuild kits. When rebuilding these cylinders, do they require honing or any special tools? G

The clutch master cylinder is aluminum so it is usually in good shape. The slave cylinder is cast and I had it resleeved in brass. Try these guys. They did a nice job for me. http://www.brakecylinder

Gary--I've never honed anything but steel cylinders, but I guess aluminum could also be honed, with more care. If there are scratches deep enough to let fluid get around the seal, then something has

The slave can be honed, using a $5 "bottle brush" hone from any auto parts store. Mine had some pitting from corrosion, which cleaned up very nicely with 20 sec of honing. The master is aluminum. If
