I noticed in the Vicky Brit catalogue that their rebuild kit for 3-synchro MGB transmissions comes with the 2nd gear cluster. Why is that? Are 3-synchro 2nd gears normally a weak link? Anybody with e

To my knowledge its not the gear, but the original brass baulk (synchro) ring that was considered 'a weak link' ... in December '65 (18GB-U-H/31417, 18GB-U-L/29123, 18GB-RU-H/31003, 18GB-RU-L/25995)
