- Thanks to all who have offered suggestions on what to look for. I took the battery from my 78 - good to have another MG around - and put it in. Started right up and no problems for the few mile drive

- No ignition light is an indication that the alternator is failing, I had two rebuilds that put out 14.4 volts with no ignition light . Only problem they were not putting out any amperage or the inter

- Only dynamo (generator) cars (Midget will be only pre 72 cars not sure about a B but will be late 60's ) will have a voltage regulator? I had just this problem - then realized that the bulb was loos

- about They ALL have voltage regulators. The Alternator cars have the regulater glommed on the back of the alternator. The Genertaor cars have it elsewhere. Jim
