You e-mailed the whole list from something I sent you privately, Joey, so everyone is probably a bit confused. As I said in the e-mail, I wouldn't go with a 4bbl unless it was the smallest one you co

Hi Chris, A few weeks (months?) ago the subject of four barrels came up and it turns out there is a 390 CFM Holley listed in most of the speed shops' catalogs. This would be a better choice perhaps f

I'm running a 260, 2bbl and I installed a Pertronix Ignitor and a slightly different cam, Competition Cam part # 31-215-2, when I went through the engine. I personally like the performance of this m

I concur with the idea of trying a stock Tiger out for performance before making any mods. It may have enough to meet your needs. In my own Tiger when I acquired it, it was fitted with a 600 cfm Ford

Please ignore advise against a 4 barrel on a 260 in favor of advice from someone who has actually done it. First, you want the Edelbrock Hi-Rise F4B. It would be nice if you could get the LAT versio

Steve off-list just pointed this out to me, and he's right! Too late at night tapping. I had put a 600cfm carb on and *that* was too big. The 465 is much better.... Chris

Thanks Steve, I was about to wade into this with a similar observation. I actually ran a 600cfm four barrel for four years on an almost stock motor (exhaust, cam etc) , with a single plane intake, no

Joey's comments make for a good question to ask. What would be a good build up for the 260? I know all the arguments for 302's and 289's, but what would you do if you only had the 260 to build (prete
