The only other body number that is significant to the production verification is the door plate with the "BAE" starting sequence (RH door pillar). The BAE number should match your chassis number _no

My BMIHT certificate says my 60 Bugeye was on the assembly line the last few days of February and the first few days of March (did this involve a weekend? Anyone know typical time spent for assembly

I looked on the 60 and didn't see it. I looked on the 65 and it is there, right behind the shock on the mounting plate.

I don't know what year this practice began (probably MKIII or IV Sprite) but it definately does not exist on the Bugeye. I'm guessing it became an issue as part of the Federal standards. Gerard -- G
