I have located an overdrive for my 1966 MGB for a reasonable amount of money. The seller has ONLY the overdrive unit. My 3-Sync tranny is in the middle of a rebuild right now. I have a few questions

Off the top of my head: 1) An overdrive needs the output shaft from the transmission to match. Non-overdrives have a relatively long output shaft. The OD units just have a stub that splines into the

Once again. There are two types of OD units, the D-type (for 3-synchro trannies) and the LH type (for 4-synchro trannies). If you are swapping out a 3-synchro tranny, you will need a _longer_ drivesh
