- If anyone has an alternator for sale cheap, or can recommend and inexpensive way to do an alternator upgrade to a '71 Midget, please let me know. This is to help a friend out with charging problems.

- Get the battery checked out. A hygrometer or take it to Pep Boys. They will test it under a load and tell you if it is bad for free. Mike MacLean-60 Sprite

- Junk yard mitsubitchi alternator. $25 (your scrap yard man may get more or less) Grind a tad off the w/pump ear or alt ear, bolt it on and go. Ford Festiva's have nice small alts. -- Frank Clarici To
