John... sounds like you need a set of 18" wheels and Mickey Thompson tires... there is some information from them on the SCTA website. They are not currently in production but they are avalible used

How wide a rim did you eventually fit in the rear? Do you use the stock calipers, any grinding or trimming needed? I'm slowly (too slowly in my opinion) putting together an 84 for ECTA and B-ville.
