My Haynes (GT6) doesn't mention replacing the bolts, though it does show lock plates with bend up tabs running across the bottom of the con rods to keep the bolts from backing out. Didn't see the loc

I must admit that I've never seen nor even heard of a Spitfire con-rod bolt failing, at least not as the primary failure. These are 3/8-24 x 1-1/2 bolts. My FSM lists two bolt types, phosphated at 4

I have one recommendation to use ARP bolts. They are pricey compared to the Spit suppliers. Does anyone have recommendations for a supplier? Any of the BC parts suppliers that you can recommend? Than
