As someone else has pointed out it *should* go the coil -ve, but if the coil has been connected up the wrong way round that won't work. If it doesn't try it on the other coil terminal, it won't do an

The tach should work if you reconnect the white and black wire to the coil. Grab a Haynes book and check the schematic. As far as ALLISON goes, I had the same on my 80B when I purchased it. It seems

Welcome aboard, The current Crane ignition is essentially the Allison ignition in another box. Crane Cams bought the Alison design and claim to have improved it. If it works, I'd be happy with it. AF
