Depends on the offset. I run 175/70 on the stock Rostyles on the '72 Midget with no rubbing problems. You should be able to do the same on the Bugeye. I have 185/60 with 1/4 inch spacers on the rear

Thanks to all that input tire sizes for the Minator 13X5 Minilite wannabes. The general consensus was 175/70 size. That is what I will be looking for. There are two more problems now with these rims.

Not sure what the clearance translates to in terms of lug stud size. But if you can make do with 7/16" it would mean taking out less material. Also it is not just the hubs that will have to drilled.

Mike on the mag wheels it isn't the size of the stud that holds the wheel it is the outside diameter of the lug nuts. I think they are all the same size in this regard, no matter what size the studs

Has anyone tried just drilling and tapping the old lug hole and bolting in a socket head cap screw? Thats 170,000 psi tensile strength alloy steel. I think I read about it in a book at Barnes and Nob
