Folks, I was checking out John's timing cover setup and he speaks of the existing "feeble chain tensioner system". Well when I did a new front seal on my 1275 this year there was NO chain tensioner.

The "tensioner" on a stock 1275 is the two rubber rings in the crankshaft timing gear. The gears you buy these days do not even have those. Last time I tried I could not find a gear that used the ten
