Warren, I did the same thing, not sanding, but with an impact wrench. Now that you have oiled the hose, I would recommend that you buy another hose and use the new one only on "clean" (non-oiled) air

The manual for my I.R. dual action sander says that It is normal for the sander to exhaust a fine oil mist and for paint prep applications where that's a problem they recomend oiling the tool manual
